This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to your use of Summit Advisory Team, LLC’s (“Summit”) website and services (the “Services”). In this Privacy Policy “you” or “Customer” refers to individuals who use Summit’s Services.  By using the Services, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected:

  • Information collected about you may include Personal Data:.
    • All information you provide to Summit that can be directly or indirectly used to identify you is referred to as “Personal Data.”  When requesting information about the Services or requesting to use the Services, Summit may require you to provide Summit with Personal Data such as name, company name, phone number, and email address. 

Data Retention and Data Request Policy

Customers can request data content inquiries and data deletion at any time by contacting Summit.   Summit may store non-personal operational information for the length of contractual agreement with Customer.   

Summit’s Use of Information Collected

Summit has a legitimate interest to further process your Personal Information collected by the Services as follows:

  • To inform you about Summit products and services.
  • For legal compliance, such as to enforce Summit’s legal rights, to comply in good faith with applicable laws, and to protect users of the Serices.
  • For other general business purposes, such as to provide, operate, maintain, make modifications and to improve the Services, and for marketing, advertising, research and development. 

Sharing of Information Collected

Summit does not share, sell, rent, or trade Personal Data with third parties for promotional purposes without your prior consent.  Summit may share Personal Data with:  (a) Summit’s subsidiaries and affiliated companies; (b) subcontractors and other third party service providers; (c) auditors or advisors of Summit’s business; and (d) potential purchasers or investors in Summit. Summit reserves the right to use or disclose Personal Data if it has a good faith belief that the disclosure is necessary to:  (w) comply with the law or with legal process; (x) protected and defend Summit’s rights or property of those of its users: (y) act in an emergency to protect someone’s safety; or (z) investigate any violation or potential violation of the law, this Privacy Policy, applicable Services restrictions, or any other agreements between you and Summit. 

How does GDPR apply to Summit?

Summit has a strong commitment to privacy, security, compliance, and transparency.   This includes supporting our Customers’ compliance with EU data protection requirements and GDPR.  

For EU citizens per GDPR, Summit will:

  • Respond to requests from data subjects to correct, amend or delete personal data.
  • Report personal data breaches to relevant supervisory authorities and data subjects in accordance with GDPR timeframes.

How does the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) apply to Summit?

Summit supports data privacy for California residents and will abide by the following rights and procedures in accordance with CCPA:

  • Right to know about Personal Information Collected, Disclosed, or Sold.
  • Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information.
  • Right to Opt out of Sale of Personal Information.
  • Nondiscrimination.

Summit does not sell the Personal Information of its Customers to third parties for money or any other consideration.   

Do Not Track Signals

Summit does not track visitors to its website across third-party websites and therefore do not respond to Do Not track signals in these circumstances.

Minimum Age

The Services are not directed to, nor intended to be used by, individuals under the age of 13.  Summit does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you become aware that an individual under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.  If we become aware that an individual under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Amendment of this Privacy Policy

Summit may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version to Summit’s website.  The new version will become effective on the date it is posted.  If a user disagrees with any changes to this Privacy Policy, their only remedy is to cease using the Services.
